The artist Adrián Doura presents an original exhibition of large-format paintings that will also include a large-scale work created especially for the main hall of Salta’s Museum of Fine Arts.
This exhibition, centering on the immensity of natural settings in Argentina, from the River Plata to the Calchaquíes valleys, offers a new approach to the genre, one that is conceptually rooted in the Italian Renaissance veduta yet also explores the transformation of natural spaces as the artist internalizes them into “landscape.” It is as if his paintings are always on the verge of being a veduta ideata, the product of a particular impression conveyed to the artist by the light, vegetation, aridity, water and wind of each natural landscape.
